Srinagar: Top trade union leaders representing employee associations of different government departments in the Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) headed by Chairman CAPD Employee Association Aijaz Ahmad Khan on Saturday expressed their gratitude to J&K Government employees for contribution of their one day salary for “J&K Relief Fund” of the Jammu & Kashmir Government for the victim COVID-19 pandemic in Jammu & Kashmir. The leaders also expressed gratitude to Jammu & Kashmir Government for formally issuing an order from the Financial Commissioner (Finance) for deduction of one day salary from the salaries of government employees and remittance of the same in the J&K Government’s Relief Fund Account at J&K Bank Moving Secretariat Branch Jammu/Srinagar.
The leaders said that though contribution of one day salary by the government employees is a very small amount for worldwide pandemic COVID 19 in Jammu & Kashmir but it speaks volumes about the support of the government employees for the people of Jammu & Kashmir in the current crisis. They thanked both the employees and the government for the timely support for the relief operations for COVID-19 pandemic.
