Srinagar /March,19:While shutdown like situation due to restrictions imposed in the wake of coronavirus fears gripping Kashmir from Wednesday evening crippled normal life in Srinagar,the people traveling from North and South Kashmir districts were caught in intense traffic jams for several hours at city points near Shelteng crossing and Pantha Chowk.
Reports said the heavy contingents of police and paramilitaries enforced restrictions in both uptown and old parts of Srinagar CITY.A shutdown like situation enforced by police and paramilitaries to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus disease in valley has gripped panicking and fear among the people from Wednesday late evening hours when the reports about a woman testing positive on her return from Saudi Arabia went viral on newspaper websites and social media platforms particularly facebook and Twitter. Sources said locals arriving from different parts of the country are detained at Srinagar for medical check ups as relations of the detained people at Srinagar Airport told Kashmir Horizon “unwanted detentions”of people in normal conditions is undue harassment . Security measures are triggering huge public anger as unwanted restrictions have put people to huge conveniences in Srinagar and other districts of Kashmir Valley.
