Srinagar: Chairman Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Aijaz Khan on Tuesday appealed people to follow in letter and spirit the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines on prevention from the coronavirus that has killed around 7500 people and infected over 186,992 across 162 countries so far.
Khan also urged government to “thoroughly screen” the passengers particularly the non-local labourers coming to Jammu & Kashmir, at Lakhanpur and Lower Munda.
“In Islam, cleanliness is half of faith. People should follow the advice given by WHO, Doctors Association of Kashmir and health experts for their own safety. Precaution is better than cure,” Khan said.
He also suggested that the sterilization process be carried out in all government departments.
“Hand sanitizers and masks should be available in all offices. Also the government departments must be sanitized on daily basis,” he said. (
