Failures of crowd control policing in Delhi

The killing of dozens of people in group clashes in Delhi the union capital over the implementation of controversial citizenship amendment act (CAA) has raised the public concerns over crowd controll policing across the country. So crowd controlled policing is not an issue of concern in Kashmir only but in other parts of the country particularly the union capital Delhi as well. By all standards of understandabilties the central government can’t look away from the implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the puprposes of accountabily in the crowd control policing. The Home Minister and his core team responsible for overseeing the internal security of the country owes an explanation for the failures of the government in maintaining peace and order across Delhi on the arrival of US President Donald Trump. The failure of the police in controlling incidents of arson and stone pelting shows that the law enforcing authorities are not alert enough to respond to violent group clashes in the union capital. To evade direct queries from the general public over the failures of law enforcement on the arrival of US President in the Union Capital the Prime Minister and the Home Minister appeal people to show restraint for the purposes of maintaining peace and order just to evade public criticism. Since the common belief among the people of all shades is that actions always speak louder than words and as such Prime Minister and the Home Minister have not to use words to evade public criticism but it is the time for them to act for restoring peace and order in the union capital.
The unprecedented increase in the frequency of violent incidents during anti-CAA protests in Delhi and other parts of the country deserves immediate attention of the Home Minister Amit Shah and there is no short cut to immediate review of the central government over its policy on control policing.
The police has to show that they know the way restrain people from taking out protest marches and engage into group clashes day in and day out. Even the law and order specialist have many a times in the recent day advised the home ministry review the policy of crowd control policing for the purposes of maintaining peace and order in the country and more so in the union capital which has become the epicenter of anti-CAA protests in the country.
