Ajit Doval concludes his second visit to Kashmir Valley

SRINAGAR: National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval, who was on one and a half day visit to Kashmir Valley, chaired a high-level meeting here today. He enquired about the law and order situation, and position of essential services and supplies in the Kashmir Valley.

The NSA complimented the Jammu and Kashmir administration and security forces for thier good work and maintaining law and order in the entire region. He appreciated that no complaints regarding the human rights violations were reported from any part of Kashmir Valley during the past over one and half month. He urged the security forces to keep maintaining good conduct and maintaining peace in the State.

It was the second visit of National Security Advisor to the Kashmir Valley after 5th of August, 2019.

Advisor K. Vijay Kumar, Director General of Police, DG CRPF, Addl. DG Law and Order, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, IG Kashmir, Zonal DIGs and representatives of different security agencies accompanied the NSA during his visit to various places of the valley.

Mr. Doval called upon the Para-military forces, Police and civil administration to win hearts and minds of the people and immediately respond to the emergencies and any issues raised by the people. He was apprised that Pak sponsored militant outfits were indulging in various atrocities on the people, killing shopkeepers, threatening and intimidating fruit growers etc. He directed all the concerned departments and agencies to take strict action against such elements and facilitate the common masses as much as possible.

The NSA also appreciated the medical, essential supplies and insisted that these be maintained.

In view of the reports that Pak sponsored terror outfits may carry out some demonstrative and sensational acts of terror, the security of vital installations must be ensured and all arrangements regarding strict vigilance and keeping the troops on alert be made a priority.

While interacting with the Army and BSF, the NSA stressed that in view of the reports of large scale infiltration attempts, anti-infiltration grid along the border be kept at high alert and wherever attempts of infiltration are reported, strong action must be taken.
