DC Doda inaugurates training on willow basket making at Sartingal, Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah: Deputy Commissioner, Dr.Sagar D Doifode Saturday inaugurated 15 day training programme on willow basket making for JKSRLM UMEED members at Sartingal, Bhaderwah.
The training programme is being organised by the Handicrafts Department, Doda in collaboration with School of Designs, Srinagar.
While addressing the participants, DC appreciated Handicrafts department and JKSRLM UMEED for organising livelihood generation initiatives. He highlighted the importance of this willow basket making in not only increasing the household income but ensuring empowerment of women.
Block Programme Manager JKSRLM UMEED, Vikas Singh, highlighted various livelihood initatives being taken up by JKSRLM UMEED.
Others who were present during the inauguration ceremony are SSP Doda, SP Operations, SDPO Bhaderwah, Tehsildar Bhaderwah besides officers and officials from Handicraft Department.
