Srinagar/July, 27: PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that deployment of more 10,000 troops in Kashmir valley for law and order purposes and anti-militancy operations is creating fear psychosis in valley. She urged the central government to rethink and overhaul its policy on Kashmir saying that ‘Kashmir a political problem can’ t be solved by military means’.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Mehbooba wrote “Centre’s decision to deploy additional 10,000 troops to the valley has created fear psychosis amongst people. There is no dearth of security forces in Kashmir. J&K is a political problem which won’t be solved by military means. GOI needs to rethink & overhaul its policy”.
