Kashmir Maharaja FC defeated Food & Supplies Football Team by solitary Goal

Srinagar : The Annual League Football Tournament is in progress both at Synthetic Turf TRC and Polo Ground West. The matches were played on the 24rd of July 2019 at Synthetic Turf, TRC Srinagar. The Ist match of Super Division played between Syed Tajuddin FC & Fortview FC . Syed Tajuddin FC defeated Fortview FC by 3:2 goals.
The second match of Premier Division was played between Food & Supplies Football Team (F&S XI) and Kashmir Maharaja FC. The match which was a high voltage match started with an aggressive note. Both the teams trying to target each others goal using latest techniques which included man to man marking, creating gaps, Wall passes, attacking the goal which was applauded by the spectators. The match was evenly balanced, at times K.Maharaja FC dominated the show and made certain attempts at the F&S XI goal by Goalkeeper of F&S XI Tanveer Ahmad foiled their attempts and saved a minimum of three sure short goals. But the F&S XI was very quick in Counter Attacking & trying to reach the penalty area & all moves did not pay the dividends. First Half Score was 0:0.
The second half again saw ups & downs both teams consolidating their defence to prevent each other from scoring. It was in the 60th minute of 2nd half Zameem Ahmad of K. Maharaja FC sports made an excellent short at F&S XI Goal, but the Goalkeeper rebound paid a penalty for them & the ball rolled in the Net. Thus K.Maharaja FC scored a goal which could not be equalized. Thus K. Maharaja FC won the match by a solitary Goal.
Meanwhile, Three matches of Senior/Junior Division were also played at Polo Ground West, In the first Match Bemina FC defeated Hasanabad FC by Two Goals to nil. In the second match Green Valley FC defeated Rangrath Warriors FC by three goals to One. In the last match Qamarwari FC defeated Young Mohamadan FC Rainawari by Four Goals to Nil.
The tournament is organized by District Football Association Srinagar, Medical Partner Rahim Green & Football Sponsor Sports International (VECTOR).
