Srinagar: Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi, Vice Chancellor, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) met Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chancellor of the University, at Raj Bhavan Tuesday.
Prof. Siddiqi briefed Governor about various issues relating to the academic and administrative importance and the initiatives undertaken by the University to develop it as a centre of quality teaching and research activities.
Governor emphasized that the educational interest of the entire student community should be promoted and safeguarded by adoption of various innovative and reformative measures.
Governor congratulated the IUST for being included by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Switzerland in its global project on Reassessment of World Swallowtail Butterflies.
