Srinagar/July, 1:- Former Minister and Chairman  Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (JK PDF)  here on Monday expressed  profound grief and sorrow over the death of 35 passengers in a  tragic road accident in kishtwar .
In a statement issued on Monday Hakeem Yaseen has conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families. He has castigate  government for its utter failure to curb increasing road accidents in various areas of the state. He said on every passing day a tragic road accident happens particularly particularly in Chenab valley, Peerpanchal region and Srinagar-Jammu National Highway but no one has been published so far for laxity in their duties,  concerned drivers nor field agencies on duty. He has cast aspirations on the functioning of the traffic and transport departments. He said  reportedly the ill  fated Mini Bus  JK17-6787 that met the tragic accident in kishtwar today morning, is said to be  fully overloaded. Likewise , the tempo traveller that met fatal accident in Peer Ki Gali the other day,  is also reported to have caused  due to rash and negligent driving.
Chairman PDF has ridiculed the traffic and transport departments for its failure to put in place a robust road checking system which was imperative to make both drivers and passengers answerable  before the authorities against  traffic violations.
Hakeem Yaseen has sought a time bound investigation in the tragic road accident to fix responsibility on the guilty.
Hakeem Yaseen has prayed  for eternal peace to the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families members to bear this irreparable loss.
He has also demanded ex- gratis relief in favour of the deceased families and free medical treatment to the injured passengers.
