Summer yoga camps by DSE Jmu conclude

Jammu : The summer Yoga Camps for students of various government schools of Jammu Division, organised from 11th to 21st of June 2019 by Directorate of School Education, Jammu in collaboration with team of experienced instructors of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, J&K Jammu, concluded.
These yoga camps were held in schools of three districts of Jammu division including GHSS Girls Canal Road Jammu, Govt. Model HSS SRML (Ranbir) Jammu, GHSS Girls Mubarak Mandi Jammu, GHSS Girls Shastri Nagar Jammu, GHS Girls Gandhi Nagar Jammu, GHSS Boys Bishnah, GHSS Boys R. S. Pura, GHSS Boys Akhnoor, GHSS Boys Vijaypur Samba and Govt. Model HSS Boys Udhampur.
Around 800 students from these schools were trained by the Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan during the event preparing them as brand ambassadors of the schools.
DSEJ also celebrated 5th International Yoga Day in all the schools of Jammu Division.
As a matter of honour for the state, eleven students and two Escort Teachers from Jammu Division participated in the mega event of 5th National Yoga Olympiad organized by NCERT at NCERT campus New Delhi. It was the first time in 5 years that Jammu and Kashmir participated in the National Yoga Olympiad New Delhi.
Also, 550 students out of 800 trained by Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan J&K during the Summer Yoga Camps participated in the mega event of 5th international yoga day 2019 organized by AYUSH at K. K. Hakku Stadium Jammu on 21st June -2019.
Director School Education, Jammu, Anuradha Gupta lauded the student community for showcasing their dynamic talent and appreciated teachers, HOIs, CEOs, Nodal Officer of this Yoga program DSEJ and team of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan for their contribution towards success of the event.
