Anila Charak’s book of Satire released

Jammu: Jammu based Anila Singh Charak’s book of satire articles, titled ‘Shrotayon Ka Akaal’ was released during two days Kullu Vyang Mahotsav organized by Vyang Yatri, New Delhi in collaboration with Sahitya Kala Parishad, Kullu at the Auditorium of Devsadan, Kullu. The theme of the event was ‘Vyang Ka Mool Tatav’.
Kavi Sammelin and musical programme were organized after the inaugural session of the Mahotsav on the first day of the event. On the second day, satire poetry session followed by. Kavi Durbar, satirical poetry, musical programme, interactive sessions and discussions were conducted.
Harish Pathak from Maharashtra, Deepak Kulluvi from Himachal Pradesh and Vidya Sagar were felicitated on this occasion. Three books viz. Lalitya Lalit’s satirical work ‘Prem Janmejaya Ki Shreshth Kathayen’ and poetry collection ‘Sitam Pyar Ke’, Special issue of ‘Pushpagandha’ (published from Ambala) dedicated to Lalitya Lalit and satirical collection ‘Shrotayon Ka Akaal’ by Anila Singh Charak from Jammu were released during the Mahotsav.
This is for the first time that senior writers, journalists and satirical poets from eight states of the country attended the programme of the organizers. Senior writers, poets and journalists like Harish Pathak, Gopi Krishana Boobna, Prem Janmejaya, Romesh Saini, Ranvijay Rao, Sunil Jain Rahi, Indu Bhardwaj, Puneet Patyal, Sachin Pandit, Rajeshwari Mandora, Kumud Sharma, Hira Lal Thakur, Rajyapal Bhatnagar, Harish Pathak, Deepak Kulluvi, Vidya Sagar, K P Sexena, M M Chandra, Renuka Bhardwaj, J P Pande, Deepak Sharma Kuluvi, Tripti Agarwal, Hitesh Sharma, Renuka Asthana, Shashi Kiran, Sunita Shanoo, Anila Singh Charak, Gautam Sanyal, Asha Kundra, Ganga Ram Raji, Soorat Thakur, Ashok Amrohi, Rajesh, Pawan Chotia, Shashi Kiran, Priyanka Saini, Tripti Aggarwal, Priyanka Bhardwaj, Soni Laxmi Rao etc. were among others who attended the programme. Vakul Jain and Suryuday, child poets, also recited their poetry.
It may be mentioned here that Anila is a painter also and has participated in national and international art exhibitions and camps. Anila has written five books of satirical prose pieces and poetry. ‘Shrotayon Ke Akaal’ is the latest book of satire articles penned down by Anila Singh Charak. Anila Charak has been honoured by many organizations with various honours like Nari Rattan Samman from Kavya Rangoli Hindi Sahtik Patrika Regd., Kanpur on International Women’s Day during 2019, Homi Bhabha Award (twice) for being the Best Principal, Bharat Shiksha Rattan Award conferred upon by Global Society for Health and Education, New Delhi and Sahitya Shri Samman by Bhartendu Harishchander Samiti, Kota. She has also been honoured by WAK Sanstha (Kolkatta) for achieving Excellene in literature. She has been awarded by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Jammu with Best Book Award for her book ‘Nangey Paanv Zindgee’ during 2008.
