DDC Kishtwar holds public grievances redress camp at Drabshalla

Kishtwar:  District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, Friday convened a public grievances redressal camp at Drabshalla tehsil to assess the public issues at their door steps.

He was accompanied by Functional Manager DIC Kishtwar, Dr. Mohsin Raza, ALC Kishtwar, Anoop Kumar Sharma, CAHO Kishtwar,  CAO,  DSWO, DFO,  Executive Engineers besides concerned officers.

During the camp,  Sarpanchs, Panchs, senior citizens and scores of people of the area including women projected several issues concerning welfare and development of their respective areas.

The problems and demands raised by the people included release of compensation for land acquired for roads, buildings, proper functioning of health centre, veterinary centres and Anganwari centres, installation of iron electric poles, power crisis in far off villages like Tatani, Patti and Hammer,  establishment of play grounds in schools, shortage of staff in schools and health institutions, ration issues in Shandri, repair and renovation of foot suspension bridges, pending MGNREGA payment 2016-17 2017-18 besides lack of transport and communication facilities.

DDC issued on the spot directions the concerned officers for early redressal of the public issues.

DDC directed  ZEO Drabshalla to ensure that proper desks and other facilities be put in place at High School Drabshalla immediately. Besides, Transport Department Kishtwar was directed to restart SRTC bus service at Drabshalla Bugrana road.

Police department was asked to ensure the shifting of Police post from existing river bed side to main market Drabshalla.

Responding to a complaint regarding alleged bungling of pipes of PHE department by the contractors, DDC directed concerned SHO to expedite the investigation process and book the culprits under law.

NHIDCL authorities were directed to take necessary steps for clearing the slips, pot holes along road side from Thathri to Kishtwar stretch.

Directions were passed to PHE and PDD department to redress the issue of water and electricity problems in the area. Besides, DFO was directed to ensure repair and renovation of foot suspension bridges.

He asked the officers and officials to remain punctual in their respective place of posting for prompt public services delivery.
