Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday directed Inspector General of Police Kashmir range to file the status report on Friday the status report on the rape of a minor in Bandipora which triggered widespread protests across Kashmir .
Chief Justice Gita Mittal took suo motu cognizance of the rape incident and directed the Inspector General of Police to file the report.
A three-year-old was allegedly raped in Bandipora district on May 8. The accused has been arrested and a special investigation team (SIT) constituted by the police was investigating the case.
