Ganderbal /May, 14: Police in Ganderbal receieved a complaint of alleged rape of a teenager on May 12 and registered a case against the accused who too was arrested.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said “a case FIR No. 98/2019 under section 451/376 RPC, section 04 POSCO Act was registered at Police Station Ganderbal”, adding that “a police team immediately arrived at the spot and arrested the accused person who is also a resident of Ganderbal. Accused remains in police custody.”
Saying that as a part of investigation victim has been medically examined, police in its statement further said that a special team has been constituted to fast-track the investigation of the case in a professional manner.“`
