Kendri Vidyalya Gandhi Nagar Jammu celebrates anuual day, Div Com (J) presides

Jammu: Kendri Vidyalya No. 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu celebrated its Annual Day Function on Tuesday at Teacher Bhawan Auditorium Gandhi Nagar, Jammu with great zeal and enthusiasm. Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Chairman VMC KV 1 Jammu was the Chief Guest and Sirimala Sambana —Deputy Commissioner KVS RO Jammu was the Guest of Honour of this auspicious occasion.
D. P Patel (Assistant Commissioner KVS RO Jammu), Bhushan Kumar Principal KV 2 Jammu Cantt., many prominent personalities and intellectuals and parents graced the occasion by their presence. The function was a moment of pride and honour for all the students and staff members of the school.
Amit Walter, Principal KV No.1, Jammu extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, guest of honour, dignitaries and parents. The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandaana at sharp 11.00 am. The Principal presented the Annual Report highlighting the various commendable achievements of the Vidyalaya in all walks of school life. He emphasized the fact that Vidyalaya was leaving no stone unturned in the service of student community. This was followed by a colourful scintillating cultural programme presented by the students. It got huge applause and admiration from the audience.
Meritorious students in academics and sports and teachers having good result in board classes were felicitated by the honourable chief guest and guest of honour. They congratulated all the students on their grand success and expressed their deep satisfaction at the multi- faceted excellence achieved by the Vidyalaya by tireless efforts of all the stakeholders. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks followed by national anthem.
