The only supplies link to Kashmir still banned, why?

Though lifting ban on Srinagar-Baramulla track an olive surface link of Kashmir highway connected to North Kashmir is a welcome step but keeping the ban operative on Jammu- Srinagar route, the only surface link used predominantly for transportation of essential commodities to land locked Kashmir would continue to escalate the crisis of essential commodities in Kashmir valley ahead of the holy month of Ramadan to be followed by Eid Ul Fitr. Unfortunately authorities of the Jammu & Kashmir Government monitoring and reviewing the ban on Srinagar-Jammu highway have no idea of the hostility the lockdown of the largest Parimpora fruit mandi of Kashmir valley against tough restrictions on the movement of truckloads of essentials on Jammu-Srinagar highway is generating. Ironically the government on one hand is citing the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-Ul-Fitr a main reason for recommending the much debated deferment of assembly elections now overdue in the state but unfortunately on the other hand it is not showing willingness to budge even an inch from its rigid stand on easing restrictions on the movement of truckloads carrying essential commodities to valley on Jammu- Srinagar highway.
Calling recommendations for deferment of assembly elections a mark of respect to the holy month of Ramadan and Eid ul Fitr but keeping the ban operative on movement of truckloads of essential commodities on Kashmir highway generating too much public anger against the government in Kashmir valley are the two contradictory actions which show that political interest is more dearer to government than the public interest concerning hassle free availability of essential services to people in Kashmir valley. The ban on Jammu Srinagar highway is not an issue of public annoyance but an issue of public convenience now. Pushing Kashmir into a crisis which would have bearing on the accessibility of the people to basic human needs like availability of essential commodities in the holy month of Ramadan shows that government tends to punish the valley populations in the month of fasting just for the purposes of its political egos in an election atmosphere.
