Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have arrested three Jaish-e-Mohammad militants, who allegedly carried out attack on Chanapora Police Post in Srinagar on Friday, from central Kashmir district of Budgam.
A policeman was injured in the attack.
A senior police official said that after the militant attack on the police post, a case was registered and investigation was taken up. “After following various leads, police arrested three alleged militants from Chadoora in Budgam on Sunday morning,” SSP Haseeb Mughal told reporters here on Sunday.
He said the trio carried out the attack on the police post that left a Constable Feroz Ahmad injured. “Arms and ammunition was also recovered from them,” he added.
Official sources said two of three militants arrested have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad and Junaid Ahmad.
