Srinagar: National Conference Vice President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday accused Jammu and Kashmir Police of setting aside its obligations under the election code of conduct to help a political party in need as a video showing food packets distributed from a police vehicle during an election rally in South Kashmir went viral on social media.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Omar wrote “well done @JmuKmrPolice.You have always helped the needy & this is another example. You have set aside your obligations under the election code of conduct to help a political party in need but please confine it to drinks/food.We hope you will not be as generous with bogus voting. “
