Jammu: PDP President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that Kashmir has been turned into a place where ‘no law exists’ rather turned the situation as ‘jungle raj’.
“There is no law that exists in Kashmir,” she said referring to a recent incident were Army thrashed a SDM also an Assistant Returning officer. “Highway has been closed, inmates are beaten in the jails,” she said adding that bodies recovered during the encounters are being mutilated and are burnt by chemicals.
Reports said Mufti also termed the highway ban as ‘dictatorial’. She said that India of present is not the country which the people of Jammu and Kashmir had acceded to. “That India was equal to Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs,” she said.
