Birth anniversary of Imam Hussain commemorated at Imambara Hasanabad Srinagar

Srinagar: A daylong conference to commemorate the birth anniversary of Imam Hussain (A.S) was held by Jammu Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian that was presided by its president and senior separatist leader Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi.
The conference was held at Imambara Hasanabad in which thousands of devotees including students from different parts of valley participated. Aga Hasan presided over the conference and gave a lecture on the occasion.
The program was started by Qari Qamar Ali Sofi with the recitation of holy Quran. Those who spoke on the occasion included Aga Syed Muhammad Hussain, Aga Syed Muhammad Aqeel Almosvi, president Anjuman Himayatul Islam Maulana Khurshid Ahmed Qanungo, Aga Syed Abid Hussain Al-Hussaini, Aga Syed yousuf Almosvi, Aga Syed Adil Murtaza Almosvi, Molvi Sheikh Nisar Hussain, Aga Syed Muhammad Safvi, Molvi Sheikh Zakir Hussain Kargili, Molvi Aga Syed Mubashir Kazmi, Molvi Sheikh Ghulam Ahmed, Aga Syed Abid Rizwi and Molvi Syed Hussain Almosvi.
Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi, president Anjuman Shari Shian depicted certain aspects of character of Imam Hussain (A.S) and paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.
He also threw light on life and teachings of Imam Hussain (A.S) and asked people to follow the path and teachings of Islam, besides he said that the Imam Hussain has set an example before us through his deeds, which will remain till the last day of this world.
Moreover, he prayed for the whole Muslim Ummah for their religious peace, unity and integrity.
Aga Syed Hasan also talked about several aspects of polity. He condemned the ban on civilian traffic on highway and said that such tactics are adopted to weaken the economy of Kashmir. He also condemned the elements responsible for threatening Daily Greater Kashmir. He said that such means won’t deter Journalists from highlighting the truth.
