Awantipora: Two air force officers including a squadron leader were killed while two others suffered injuries in a road accident in south Kashmir’s Awantipora area of Pulwama district in the wee hours of Thursday, officials said.
The slain include a squadron leader, the official said. Senior Superintendent of Police of Awantipora Tahir Saleem said that the accident occurred at Malangpora outside air force station at around 3 am. The identity of the slain is being ascertained.
The sources said that IAF top brass has taken note of the incident and a probe has been ordered as well to know the actual cause of incident. “This is a routine procedure to launch investigations into every incident whether accident or natural death or the personnel,”
