Srinagar/May,8: Body of an unidentified person was today fished out from river Jhelum in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources here today said that panic gripped Awantipora in Pulwama, when some locals saw body of a man floating in Jhelum.
The locals immediately informed the police, they said, adding a team was immediately rushed to the spot and the body was taken away.
Police have registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the cause of the death, they added.
