Srinagar: Political activist from Budgam Fayaz Ahmad Dar on Monday joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Srinagar with party president Mehbooba Mufti welcoming him into the party fold.
According to the party spokesman, Dar has contested 2014 assembly elections from Budgam as a candidate of PDF and is known for the pro-people activities in his area.
While welcoming Dar into the party, Mehbooba said that his joining will further strengthen the party in Budgam and will make PDP a vibrant force in central Kashmir once again.
