Baramulla/May,8: Legal Metrology Department, Baramulla Monday imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on a leading spices manufacturing company for manufacture and sale of non-standard spices packages.
Earlier, a case was registered against the company for violating the labeling nor Consequently, the case was compounded for a compounding fee of Rs. 1 lakh.
The Department has advised consumers of the district to bring their grievances into notice of the Department so that pertinent action can be taken for their redress.
