Srinagar/March, 25 : National Conference (NC) president and three time former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah here on Monday filed his nomination papers for ensuing Lok Sabha Elections at DC office Srinagar
Abdullah, accompanied by vice president NC Omar Abdullah and general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, filed papers for Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary seat.
Polling for the seat will be held on April 18.
NC and Congress have forged an alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. While Congress has not fielded any candidate from Srinagar, NC has said there will be “friendly” contest in Jammu.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fielded Aga Mohsin from Srinagar constituency.
