Jammu: In a noble gesture, Prof. Parshotam Singh Thakur, Head, Computer Science Department, MAM College, Jammu, Saturday donated some valuable books for the use of needy students in the college.
In this connection, a function was organized in the Department of Computer Science where Principal Prof.(Dr.) P.K. Sharma was the chief guest and Vice Principal Dr. Subash Chander Sharma was guest of honour, besides other faculty Members including Prof. Shallu Gupta, Dr. Karan Singh and non-teaching staff of were also present on the occasion.
The Principal and other faculty Members lauded the initiative of the department for creating a Book Bank in the Department of Computer Science which will go a long way in mitigating the needs of students, especially those who cannot afford to buy such costly books.
