Kavinder’s unwanted provocations

Top BJP leader and former Speaker Assembly Kavinder Gupta infamous for courting unwanted controversies once more was in the thick of criticism for seeking ban on Madrassas as his remark attracted condemnation from people of all hues . Kavinder a man from RSS background made the highly condemnable remarks even when was speaker assembly till June last year and interestingly he after taking over as Deputy Chief Minister last year had said that rape and murder of a minor muslim bakerwal girl was a minor incident and he had to withdraw his statement after remaining in the thick of controversy for several day. The time choosen by him to seek ban on Madrassas can be understood even by naives as BJP leaders tend to further the causes of religious provocations ahead of the Lok Sabha and assembly elections in some states including Jammu & Kashmir. The highly condemnable remarks of Kavinder Gupta shows his desperate attempt to earn the blessings of his mentors in Nagpur and he by virtue of this controversial remark tried to appease those carrying out a vicious campaign over the recent attack on Kashmiris in Jammu the winter capital of the state and other parts of the country particularly Lucknow where four people were arrested for assaulting two Kashmiri traders. Whatever may be the political intents of Kavinder Gupta in seeking ban on Madrassas in Jammu and Kashmir in the aftermath of a ban on Jammat-e-Islamic in Jammu & Kashmir but he leaders from the other political parties reserve to right to ask Kavinder Gupta that why not to ban the activities of RSS cadres in Kashmir who marks in the streets in Jammu city and some towns of Jammu region just to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu region .

Kavinder Gupta owes an unconditional apology not only to former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for his contemptuous remark against her simply for protesting the ban on Jamat-e-Islamic but also to the people of entire India particularly those whose cries woke up the central government from deep slumber and issue a directive to the state governments for action against those responsible for assaults on Kashmir in any part of the country.

Now when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has himself directed the state government to take action against the people assaulting Kashmiris outside Kashmir the likes of Kavinder Gupta need to learn lessons from the ill of provocative statements which only encourage people of disintegrating tendencies to create an atmosphere of political and religious divides in the country.
