Srinagar: “Kashmiris are not safe even in their classrooms, schools and colleges. Recent mysterious blast that injured dozens of students at Pulwama is a testimony to this fact,” said the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while talking to victims at SMHS hospital here.
A JKLF statement issued to GNS said Malik led a party delegation to SMHS hospital and met with the victims, talked to their attendants and doctors and enquired about their health.
He expressed solidarity with them and said Kashmiris are not safe even in their classrooms. He prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
JKLF chief also attended the condolence meeting held at the residence of Late Grand Mufti of Jammu & Kashmir Bashiruddin Ahmad, and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
In his condolence speech, Malik said the contribution of late Mufti Azam in the field of social work, religion and spreading religious harmony are exemplary and he will be remembered for all his qualities.
Congratulating Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, the son of late grand Mufti, on assuming the charge of Mufti Azam Jammu & Kashmir, JKLF chairman hoped that he will uphold the high traditions of the sacred seat and deliver justice to everyone.
Malik also hailed Nasir-ul-Mufti for allocating twenty lakh rupees from his charity trust to the victims of forced occupation, pellets guns, burned and blasted houses and other oppressed, the statement said.
“We have victims of occupation and oppression all around us and it is our national duty to do whatever possible for the welfare of these victims,” JKLF chairman said.
