Tral: Suspected militants Monday shot at and injured a man in Tral Township of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that armed men fired at Tariq Rashid Wani (37) of Reshipora Tral near Aabghar when he was passing through the road.
Reports added that Tariq was shot at leg and abdomen before being shifted to nearby hospital.
A Doctor at Sub-District Tral said that they referred the victim to Srinagar for advanced treatment. He said that the victim has multiple injuries in his leg, thigh and abdomen. We have referred him to Srinagar.
Local sources said that the victim was a former army man and was currently posted at JK Bank branch of Dadsara as security guard.
An official said that police has registered a case and have started an investigation.
