Advisor(K) listen to people’s issues at Jammu

Jammu: As part of the weekly public hearing program, several delegations and individuals met Advisor K Vijay Kumar to apprise him about their issues, grievances and sought his intervention in redressal of the same.
Over 19 delegations and 31 individuals from across different parts of the state met the Advisor. They projected the problems regarding civic amenities, health, education road connectivity, sought better provision for drinking water, power supply, adequate staff at schools, hospitals etc. Many of them, including government employees projected their personal matters.
A delegation of NIS Trained Instructors, led by MLC Vikram Randhawa, met the Advisor and highlighted their issues including payment of pending salaries, continuation and regularization of their services.
A delegation of youth from district Anantnag sought job opportunities under SRO-43 and requested the Advisor to direct the concerned department for expediting the process.
NYC workers under the banner of NYC Association (J&K) requested for regularization of services of 2017 batch, while a deputation of National Social Volunteer NSV/NYS of NYK batch 2007-2010 seeking their re-engagement.
A delegation of JK Medical Employees Federation presented their case for consideration of the services rendered by them before regularization. A delegation of Ex-Servicemen providing security services at Government Medical Jammu also met the Advisor and requested for increase in their salaries.
A public delegation from Tehsil Akhnoor led by its newly elected Sarpanch projected the issue of illegal brick kilns, which have become a source of pollution in the area, while another delegation from Akhnoor led by its Sarpanch requested for health sub-centre and taking up work for conservation of ponds in their area.
A group of newly appointed Medical Officers in the Health department requested for extension in joining period as they are pursuing their Post-Graduation Course and have to appear in the final examinations. The members of a delegation of All J&K Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance, during their meeting with the Advisor, raised the issue of reservation in promotion.
Daily wagers engaged in the Youth Services & Sports department sought the intervention of Advisor for release of their wages, pending since 2013. A public delegation comprising residents of Tehsil Chasana in Reasi projected issues of public importance and urged for posting doctor and nurse at the PHC in the area.
Similarly other delegations including a group of 154 Ousted Wireless Operators, IIT pass out candidates, Rehbr-e-Khel aspirants and others also met the Advisor and registered their grievances. Meanwhile, several individuals also reached Convention Centre to meet the Advisor and apprised him about their issues and sought his intervention for the redressal of the same.
Responding to the delegations and individuals, the Advisor assured that all genuine grievances, demands raised at the public hearing would be looked into and necessary action would be taken by the concerned departments.
