DDC Baramulla reviews progress on land records digitization

Baramulla: District Development Commissioner Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash Monday reviewed the progress on digitization of land record here at a meeting of concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by Director Land Records North, ADC Baramulla, ADC Sopore, ACR, SDM Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
The meeting was informed about the deployment of additional staff and installation of scanners at the designated offices for the scanning of records.
The DDC directed the concerned to speed up the process and put in extra efforts to resolve the revenue cases of the public. He asked officers to activate the field staff to finish their assigned work within the stipulated time. He stressed on careful verification and reconciliation of the records before scanning and finalization so that the people will not face inconvenience after digitization.
The meeting gave various suggestions to ensure smooth conduct of the digitization process. It decided that the patwaris will be imparted training to enable them to work in the field and proper maintenance of the records.
