Srinagar: Facing the wrath of internet trolls after resigning from his post, former IAS officer Shah Faesal has found a backer in former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who defended his right to ‘self-determination’ in a statement on Twitter. She said the abuses hurled at the former IAS officer were uncalled for.
Faesal faced a torrent of abuse online after he tendered his resignation citing the Union government’s reluctance to intervene in the ‘unabated killing’ of Kashmiris. “Hurling choicest abuses on social media Shah Faesal is uncalled for. He has inspired a generation to chase their dreams and I think it is time to respect his aspirations. My thoughts & support for him. He Deserves His right to self-determination,” Mufti said in a statement on Twitter.
