Govt functioning reinforced to improve service delivery: Advisor (S)

Jammu: Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma, Monday reiterated that functioning and deliverance of every department has been revamped so that the grievances of people are redressed within the shortest possible time and implementation of flagship schemes is fast-paced.
The Advisor was interacting with scores of deputations from different parts of Jammu division who had come to meet him here at Civil Secretariat for redress of their grievances.
Sharma said a vibrant mechanism has been put in place by the Governor’s Administration so that there is proper and timely disposal of the grievances and issues being projected by the people especially related to key sectors and departments.
More than 20 delegations comprising 150 individuals apprised the Advisor of their grievances and sought his intervention in ensuring outcome-based redressal.
While taking cognizance of the several complaints projected by the deputations, the Advisor directed for redress of these and taking corrective measures in a time bound manner. He said the officers should ensure that the complaints are disposed of at an earliest, so that the people do not face any in convenience.
Sharma while listening to the grievances of several deputations of the government employees related to service matters and regularization directed for early disposal of the same. He said the departments should resolve all the HR related issues within the shortest possible time so that the employees who are an important part of the functioning of government get timely benefits and the service matters should also be referred to the recently formed Service Grievance Committee.
Deputation of Devsar Municipal Committee projected the issue of releases of funds for carrying out developmental activities in the Town area committee and its catchment areas.
Deputation from Jamwala Panchayat Kotrankaled by its Sarpanch raised the issues related to the R&B and PHE sectors and called for immediate redressal.
Link Volunteers Deputation appointed under NRHM called for continuing their tenure and also regularization of services.
Kashmiri Migrant youth deputation calledfor providing them jobs as envisaged under SRO 412.
Delegation from Kastigarh area of the Doda district raised the issue providing road connectivity to them under PMGSY.
Deputation from Sunail Panchayat called for redressal of the potable water issues and also augmenting the existing the PHE infra in the area.
Need-based technicians of the Baghliarpower project raised the issues of regularizing their services.
Deputation from AramporaSopore called for augmenting the electric infra in their area.
Delegation of the Chatta village Sunjawan called for providing road connectivity to their area.
Toopneel delegation of tehsil Kastigarh of Doda district called for redressal of the PHE problems in their area.
Several other delegations and individuals from various areas apprised the Advisor with their problems related to revenue, agriculture, rehabilitation, horticulture, Food and Civil Supplies and sought intervention and immediate redressal.
