EC Agri orders evacuation of stray cattle from Kurbathang Plateau

Kargil: Executive Councillor for Agriculture Zakir Hussain Thursday issued directions for evacuation of the stray cattle to prevent damage to the public property in Kurbathang Plateau.
The EC was speaking at a meeting attended by Councillor Pashkum Kacho Muhammad Feroze, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kargil, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Kargil, Tehsildar Kargil, Station House Officer Kargil, Nambardar Pashkum and other concerned officers.
During the course of the meeting, the Councillor Pashkum and NambardarPashkum informed the meeting about the damage being caused by the domestic animals abandoned at Kurbathang Plateau.
They requested the EC for his personal intervention to pull out the cattle from there immediately.
After hearing the issue patiently, the EC directed ACR to inform the general public through All India Radio Kargil to pull out their animals from Kurbathang Plateau within a week’s time.
It was decided that the abandoned animals shall be auctioned by the District Administration if the owners do not comply with the orders.
