Pulwama,/Dec, 29 : Two militants of Jaish e Mohammad outfit were on Saturday morning killed in a gunfight after government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Bunpora village of Hajin area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district
Reports said sleuths of 44 Rashtriya Rifles, 182 and 183 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force and Jammu Kashmir Police Saturday morning launched a search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in Bonpora village of Haji area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district .
Officials said as soon as forces started conducting the Cordon and search operation, militants hiding in the area fired on the forces , triggering an encounter adding that ‘two Militants were killed in the gunfight’ . The identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained
Meanwhile massive clashes have erupted near the encounter site between the government Forces and stone pelting crowd .Authorities have suspended Internet services in Pulwama district
