DDC Ang reviews performance of banks at DLRC meet

Ang: District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik, Wednesday reviewed the performance of banks and line departments for the 2nd quarter ending September -2018 under District Credit Action Plan – 2018-19 here at District Level Review Cum Consultative Committee (DLRC) meeting.
The meeting reviewed the progress achieved in various sectors like Agriculture, Micro and Small Enterprises, Education Housing, priority sector and other non-priority sectors.
The meeting was informed that the total deposits in the district have reached to Rs 4,36,292 lakh, while the total advances under various schemes have touched to Rs. 3,50,309 lakh by end of September 2018.
A total credit target of Rs.1895.85 crore has been fixed for the district under Credit Action Plan 2018-19, which includes Rs.1492.03 crore under Agriculture & Allied sectors (total priority sector), Rs. 403.83 crore for non-priority sector.
The LDM, Anantnag Ali Mohammad Lone informed the meeting that against a target of Rs. 877.53 cr an advancement of Rs.364.46 cr have been made by various banks under Agriculture and allied sectors, while as Rs.633.41 cr have been released under total priority sector and Rs.385.75 cr have been provided under non-priority sector. It was also given out that 11927 units have been established in the district under non-priority sector.
Similarly, under KCC Scheme against a credit target of Rs.1282.69 crore, Rs.1253.22 crore stand disbursed till the end of September 2018. Under the scheme, out of 31060 sanctioned farm operating families disbursement has been made in favour of 28469 beneficiaries, while as only 51 cases are pending for sanction.
It was also given out in the meeting that under Stand Up India scheme 19 cases have been submitted, out of which banks have sanctioned 15 cases under the scheme.
The Director RSETI informed the meeting that 05 training programs were conducted by RSETI, Bijbehara in which 106 candidates were imparted skill development training. Out them 87 candidates stand settled which include self-finance of 08 candidates and bank financing of 79 candidates up to the end of 2nd quarter ending September 2018 of the current financial year.
With respect to linking of Aadhaar numbers with the banking accounts for availing benefits under different schemes, all the bankers have been directed to establish Aadhaar linkage centres for enrolment. The District Social Welfare Officer was also directed to submit the validation list of the beneficiaries under different schemes to the banks for electronic benefit transfer.
Meanwhile, the DDC instructed all the officers and bankers to work in synergy so that tangible improvements are witnessed at the ground level. He also called for organizing of camps at educational institutions so that students belonging to lower income families are able to avail loans in order to get a better education.
The DDC also said there is a need to identify the sectors where good dividends are subservient to capital infusion, adding cooperative sector is one such sector.
The line departments including handicrafts, handlooms, animal/ sheep husbandry, agriculture & horticulture were directed to tie up with the Lead Bank Manager in order to focus on sponsoring & sanctioning of cases of the youth in these sectors.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Chief Agriculture Officer, District officers from Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, KVIB, NURM, NULM, Lead Bank Manager, Director RSETI, representatives of NABARD and other banks.
