Srinagar/May,1: The students of Mehjoor Memorial Higher Secondary school (MMHSS) and Government Degree College Pulwama on Monday staged a demonstration outside the police station to demand release of their peers.

Reports and witnesses said that the students of MMHSS staged a protest inside the institution to demand the release of around six students detained during last week’s clashes.

The students warned the administration that they would boycott their classes until the release of the detained students.

Later, the students marched to Pulwama Degree college where they staged a protest in which pro-freedom slogans were raised.

The students jointly marched into the Pulwama main chowk and staged a dharna outside the police station.
