Srinagar: A 14-year-old girl critically injured in a shootout in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday morning succumbed Saturday morning .
Muskan Jan of Wangud- Qaimoh had slipped into coma and breathed her last Saturday morning, said doctors who conducted operation at SMHS hospital Srinagar.
A police official had said ‘militants Thursday this week fired several shots at an army camp stationed in a part of Rice Research Institute of Sher-e-Kashmir Agriculture University’s (SKAUST) campus at Khudwani .The army soldiers retaliated, leading to a brief exchange of fire. Muskan was unfortunately caught in a crossfire and sustained bullet injury .She was shifted to a sub-district hospital in Qaimoh where from she was referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for treatment’.
