Shopian: A youth abducted by suspected militants from a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district was released on Tuesday with a bullet injury in his leg.
Pervaiz Ahmad was abducted from his native Batmuran village Monday evening this week. Sources said that Ahmad was released this morning, however he has been shot in his leg.
Ahmad was among eight persons abucted from Shopian villages during past one week. While two were killed, six, including Ahmad, were released by the captors.
Militants in purported video messages have accused the slain youth of being informers of the forces.
