Srinagar/Nov, 17 : Unidentified gunmen on Saturday abducted two more civilians from a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district but two of the three persons abducted were released earlier in the day.
Two civilians were on Saturday evening abducted from Meemender village of Shopian district. The abducted persons have been identified as Hakib Javed Ganie of Meemander and Ishfaq Ahmad of Pudsoo.
Their abduction came even as two among the three civilians kidnapped were on Saturday released from a bakery .
Shahid Ahmad Ganie, Farooq Ahmad – both residents of Saidpora Payeen and Huzaif Ahmad Kutay of Manzgam were abducted earlier today, barely 36 hours after a civilian Nadeem Manzoor was shot dead by suspected militants in Pulwama.
While Shahid and Farooq were released today evening, there was no information on Huzaif, said an official, adding that a body was recovered from a village in Lundoora.He said the identity of the deceased is being ascertained.
