Div Com (J) reviews progress on relief disbursement to WPRs in Jmu

Jammu : Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma Saturday convened a meeting with DCs of Jammu Division to discuss issues related to disbursement of cash relief to West Pakistani refugees under PMDP.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, Additional Commissioner Rahul Sharma and Assistant Commissioner (RA) Atul Gupta besides All Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division through video conference.
The Div Com asked the concerned authorities to expedite the process of identification of families and after cross-checking the documents for disbursement of relief. He further asked DCs to appoint nodal officers and committees to monitor process of verification and check the genuineness of families.
He directed the DCs to make activity calendar and send status reports on regular basis so as to proceed further in the matter.
Meanwhile, the Div Com also reviewed the progress of work on the construction of individual and community Bunkers in border districts. The DCs of border districts were asked to expedite the pace of work in their respective districts and complete projects well in time. He asked the DCs to timely send progress reports.
