Over 70 national delegates enjoy Valley’s breathtaking beauty

Gulmarg : The Kashmir Autumn FAM Tour Saturday ended successfully with the delegates enjoying the breathtaking beauty of Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg.
Over 70 delegates from different parts of the country including leading travel agents and tour operators, filmmakers, representatives from print and electronic media from different parts of the country were part of the FAM tour.
The delegates were all praise of the Kashmir’s beauty.
Anith Swammy of Time Travel and Tours from Chennai described Kashmir as master of destinations and urged travellers to visit Kashmir for royal hospitality.
“I was hesitant to visit Kashmir earlier. Now I have visited Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg and found everything beautiful and safe. I wish every Indian visits Kashmir and enjoys its beauty,” said Anith.
Chitra Deepa, editor at Hindu newspaper, said Kashmir’s autumn season is beautiful.
“We visited Srinagar and found different hues of trees which is really enchanting. Kashmir is a real paradise to visit,” she said.
Jariwala Abdeali of Universal Travel and Tours from Mumbai said Kashmir is a real heaven on Earth and he would promote the Valley among travellers during all seasons.
Vishvajeet Patil of Raja Rani Travels said Kashmir is absolutely safe for the travellers and there is no need for the tourists to be apprehensive about visiting this place.
“There is no need to go to foreign places. Every beautiful thing is here in Kashmir. The people are also warm and hospitable. I have been selling Kashmir for past many years and all my clients have enjoyed their visits,” said Patil.
The Kashmir FAM Tour was organized in an effort to offset negative perception about Kashmir.
Director tourism Kashmir Tasaduq Jeelani said FAM Tour was organized in order to aware the guests how safe Kashmir is and also showcase them local culture, heritage, art and craft.
“We have everything to offer from breathtaking landscape to unique art and craft and sumptuous food. However, there is negative perception among travellers which we want to remove by organising such FAM tours,” said Jeelani.
Governor Satya Pal Malik inaugurated the 3-day Kashmir Autumn FAM (Familiarisation) Tour-2018 at the SKICC on October 25, 2018.
On the first day, the delegates visited famous Mughal gardens including Pari Mahal, Chesma Shahi and on the second day the guests were taken to Pahalgam, Aru, Betab Valley, Pahalgam Golf Course and on the third day Saturday, the invitees visited Gulmarg, enjoyed Gondola ride there.
Santoor performance by Master Mohammad Abdullah Tibat Bakal, multilingual song performance by Rashid Jahangir, multi-lingual Folk Dances of the State performed by local artists, on spot Sand Art painting done by Ashok Bhardwaj, Shivali Jamwal and Renu Bala enthralled the audience during the opening ceremony and at musical evening at Pahalgam and Gulmarg.
