2 day training of DDOs starts in Poonch

Poonch : A two day training course for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) regarding National Pension System (NPS) started Friday here in presence of District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav.
The training was attended by Additional District Commissioner Krishan Lal , District Treasury Officer Mohammad Akram Thakkar and the DDOs of different departments of Tehsil Mandi and Haveli of Poonch.
During the Training DTO informed the meeting about various nuances and processes involves in DDOs bill formation and Treasury working.
Resource person Nisar A Paul gave a detailed presentation on the historic perspective of NPS and benefits of National Pension System. He further imparted training for effective implementation of NPS in the state. The meeting was educated about the Role and responsibilities of DDOs. Further the DDOs were made aware about the functions of DDO.
The participant, DDOs, interacted with the resource person and raised queries and cleared their doubts about NPS.
The participants were also asked to fill an online questionnaire for the feedback of their understanding. The training will continue tomorrow for DDOs of rest of the tehsils of the district.
