Baramulla/Oct, 25: A gunfight erupted Thursday morning between militants and the government forces in Athoora village of Kreeri area north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Police said on twitter .
Army’s 29 RR, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in Athoora area of Kreeri.
As the forces moved towards the suspected spot, the militants fired at them, triggering off a gunfight.
