Srinagar: Advisor to Governor, B.B. Vyas Monday convened a meeting with senior officers of NTPC to discuss various issues related to installation of 150 MW Solar Power project in Ladakh region.
The meeting attended by Commissioner Secretary Power Development Department Hirdesh Kumar, Director Commercial NTPC, General Manager commercial NTPC, Manager NTPC and other senior officers of Power Development Department.
The advisor was briefed that NTPC will install 100 to 150 MW capacity Solar Power project in Ladakh region to which was suggested by the governor administration.
The Advisor suggested that feasibility of the project with respect to transmission and local distribution may be taken into consideration before going for project.
Vyas also stressed that introduction of electric mobility (Electric Vehicles) in the state and particularly in tourist places so that a viable commercial business model can be persuade in future and also addressing the environmental concerns.
