Srinagar: Secretary, Social Welfare, Tribal Affairs & Cooperative, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone Monday reviewed formulation of project reports under Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) for Leh and Kargil.
These projects are proposed to be funded by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).
Registrar Cooperative, Additional Secretary Cooperative and Consultant Mediaids Chandigarh attended the meeting.
The Consultants highlighted the proposed projects which have potential and economic viability of setting up of controlled atmosphere stores, Sea-buckthorn processing, fodder development, dairy activity, apricot cultivation/preservation, construction of godowns, poly carbonate green house, extension of superbazaar/ consumer retail shops and Changthan Pashmina grower and marketing society.
Secretary Cooperative asked the Consultant to submit the draft report to the Deputy Commissioner concerned within one week. He said the Registrar Cooperative after review of the report will submit to the Administrative Department by November 5. “Based on comments from district and State level review, the consultants shall make a power point presentation on 15th of November so that final report is prepared and submitted to NCDC after obtaining approval of competent authority,” he said.
