Mehbooba, Omar : Two equals in fake sympathisation

National Conference Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah accusing PDP President Mehbooba Mufti of tending to show fake sympathization by saying “Manan Wani was the victim of relentless violence” is sufficient enough to indicate that both of them are trying to settle political scores over the death of Manan Wani. While Omar Abdullah has to be reminded about the killing of over one hundred teenagers in street clashes with the government forces during his reign of power in the year 2010 the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti can’t evade queries over her mishandling of “relentless violence” during 2016 unrest and thereafter till June this when BJP withdrew its support to render her powerless after backing out on every commitment inked in the agenda of alliance (AoA). Before accusing the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti of trying her best to get Manan Wani in the trap of government forces and kill him during the reign of her power, the National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah may also explain to the people in Kashmiri that why he and his father don’t openly own Kashmir’s new age Intifada which the central government says is glorifying new age militancy in the state.

In the eyes of people both Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’ are equally fake sympathizers and the dying soul of mainstream politics itself narrates the tale of the failures of  Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’.

Sympathising people aligned to militancy while in opposition and killing the youth engaged in Intifada while in power in the year 2010 shows that Omar lacks consistency in stands on Intifada and militancy in Kashmir. Abdullah’s’ both Farooq and Omar and Muftis’ including the likes of Mehbooba and others cease the political and moral right to say that the scholar turned militants like Manan Wani are the victims of relentless violence as both Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’ are equally responsible for relentless violence in Kashmir. If Abdullah’s’ are responsible for introducing draconian laws and offering political space to Congress the Muftis’ are to be blamed for offering political space to RSS backed BJP in the only muslim majority state of the country. Since people of Kashmir know it better than mainstream politicians of the state that the actions of both Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’ have pushed Kashmiri youth into a phase of relentless violence, the youth are not ready to believe in the words of Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’. In the eyes of people both Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’ are equally fake sympathizers and the dying soul of mainstream politics itself narrates the tale of the failures of Abdullah’s’ and Muftis’.
