Budgam : The District Election Officer (DEO) Budgam Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar Saturday said district election machinery is fully prepared for the ensuing elections to Urban Local Bodies (ULB).
Addressing media persons, she said all arrangements regarding deployment of security personnel, polling staff with polling material is fully ready for onward deployment as all the requisite randomization of EVMs, training to polling staff has already been concluded.
She said to ensure smooth conduct of polling and maintaining law and order designated zonal officers/sectoral officers have been entrusted the responsibility in their respective zones/sectors.
The zonal officers in liaison with Returning Officers will ensure safe carriage of polling material, polling staff, to the polling stations and their safe dispensation back at collection centers/strong roo
She appealed the voters to exercise their franchise freely. With respect to the time schedule of polling, the DEO said polling will start at 07 am and will conclude at 04 pm.
