Masarat Alam brought to Srinagar for hearing, shifted back to Kotbalwal Jail Jammu

Srinagar: The incarcerated chairman of Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir Masarat Aalam Bhat here on today brought from Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu to Srinagar for the hearing of a case 2015 lodged against.
League Chairman Masrat Aalam was produced in Forest Court where after hearing the arguments; the judge fixed the next hearing of the said case on 2018 /10/16.
After hearing, the Masrat was taken back to Kotbalwal Jail Jammu, League Spokesman Sajad Ayobi said. Ayobi said that State, Central Govt as well sets new policies and methods for his continued imprisonment under baseless cases, which is worst kind of human rights violation and is highly condemnable.
He said that the government is deliberately doing it under a plan so that he is not released by the court. He said that prolonging the illegal detention of Masarrat showed their frustration.
The policy adopted by the puppet government through which Masarat sahib is being moved from one police station to another cannot break his will and courage, he added.
He said Govt instead of honoring court orders are ignoring all norms and rules, Alam is being subjected to political vendetta. He said that prolonging the illegal detention of Masarrat showed their frustration.
He said Fast Masrat’s PSA has been quashed by judiciary and even 36th PSA is about to complete, Despite that he has been implicating in fictitious cases and languished in jail Which is Worst Form of human rights Violation.
He said Govt instead of honoring court orders are ignoring all norms and rules, Alam is being subjected to political vendetta.
He said Masrat Aalam Bhat was 19 years old when he was arrested first time and was lodged in jail for three years, after release he was arrested again in 1997 and was booked under PSA for four years, later in 2006 he was arrested again and after Act quashed and after days of release he was arrested again in 2008 and since then Masarat sahib is being moved from one police station to another, it cannot break his will and courage, he added.
League Spokesman appealed the rights-defender bodies including the Red Cross and Human Rights Watch to take the note of the “worst political revenge against Masrat Aalam and illegal detention by the government and asked them “to play their role. (KNS)
